Conan Doyle tries so hard to kill off or retire Sherlock Holmes, but the people would not let him. We have the Strand readers from the 1890s to thank for this one I suppose!

Another interesting set of short stories. I even worked a few out before Watson (although maybe as I fall asleep with this playing, I listen the solution but don't remember hearing it). I keep thinking this will be the last SH for a while but when it ends I somehow just end up starting the next one.

The Return of Sherlock Holmes begins with just that, and it doesn’t disappoint! Each short story in the collection was an enjoyable read, and the good nature of the characters continues to inspire and relax.
