I think this is the one with the Toy Eater poem in it (or I'm mistaken?). That was my favourite poem, and I may have read it to my daughter on more than one occassion... her room was always so clean after!

I read a few Silverstein books when I was a kid, including this one. my aunt gifted me a bunch of book a few weeks ago, this one was in the mix, so I decided to give it a go. I really enjoyed it. I do not read enough poetry.

I tripped on my shoelace

And I fell up—

Up to the roof tops,

Up over town,

Up past the tree tops,

Up over the mountains,

Up where the colors

Blend into the sounds.

But it got me so dizzy

When I looked around,

I got sick to my stomach

And I threw down.

I love how some of the poems are innocent & child-like while others have some dark elements haha... I did enjoy reading them all as well as the drawings :-)
