After We Collided

Even more back and forth ridiculousness than the first book. It was also harder to feel sympathy for Tessa after she knew the extent of Hardin's behavior. Despite her experience with him she continued to pull the 'can't get any worse!' mentality (or 'the only thing worse would be losing him') when all indicators point to the opposite. I do not understand the adults in this book treating these 18/19/20 year olds who clearly do not have their shit together, like they are making good decisions.

What an improvement! The plot was intense, filled with drama, new experiences, love and desire. The relationship between Hardin and Tessa is shown in a more in-depth manner and shows the Hardships they follow as both parts struggle with their inner demons and past trauma.

Could this be more boring? I don’t think so. It was hella repetitive and too much dramatic.
3 stars because, surprisingly enough, the plot twist in the end got me curious.

Ughhhhhhh haha I’m beating myself up because this series is awful like truly awful but I can’t stop reading it because the author is completely capable of writing a cliff hanger. I’m not sure if allowing the reader into the head of Hardin was supposed to make us like him more as a character or more empathetic but honestly it made me dislike him more when I learned exactly how he viewed Tessa and her relationships with other men even if they are just friends. There was an unnecessary love triangle because we all know that Tessa isn’t going to leave Hardin. Hardin is controlling and abusive and yet there is no repercussions for his actions. I wish that Todd focused more on addressing the unhealthy aspects of their relationship through therapy, intervention or something else. But she doesn’t which is truly disheartening. Unfortunately, the cliff hanger was interesting and I’ll probably end up listening to the next book on audio.

I think I preferred this to the first book. Still as addictive and more about love than sex. The characters are fascinating and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Bad books but I read all of them and have read them again lol what does that say about me

3.5. Ugh 24 hours long is way too long to listen to these two bicker at each other.
