Like the first book, very very strong and interesting underlying concepts. But very mathsy in places and flat characters. But the first point is enough make me go on to book 3, so...

This series is the most creative and thought provoking writing I think I've ever read. Marjorie kudos to the translator for making this read like art. This second installment has multiple moments that bring up deep moral quandaries. I've never read anything like it. Like the first book, the science part of science-fiction is robust. There's something about how this series examines humanity that is inspiring and totally chilling.

If like a happy ending this is probably not the dead for you. If you read the first one don't worry, we still end with an ant reference.

Truly a great story, it really takes you on a journey. You really feel the emotions of the story and the passage of time.

I will add more to this later. Loved this book, can’t believe it’s over. Hated it sometimes, it sometimes felt endless, but it was a phenomenal sci fi read.
