I was impressed with the scope of this book. It’s packed with amazing sci-fi concepts and ideas. (I haven’t read a large amount of sci-fi, so maybe they’re not all fresh ideas, but I enjoyed it all.)
Some of the latter parts of the book blew me away. I can see why they’ve got the Game of Thrones guys working on the adaptation.
The first sentence of the blurb gave away something from the final chapters of the book. This is why I don’t read blurbs.
I thought the translation was much better than The Three Body Problem. I couldn’t discern as much of the original Chinese writing style, but it flowed better.
I read the last 400 pages in a week which is much faster than my usual reading pace.

definitely took me longer to get through. the ending - not a fan. I really hope that the 3rd book takes a weird, dark turn as the 2nd book didn't hook me in.
