I really enjoyed this prequel novel to Netflix's show "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", and I think it's perfect for anyone who really likes the show. Personally, I really liked the show, so I think that somewhat goes into my enjoyment of this book. It's a very cute and fun YA/Middle Grade story about a girl who is half-witch and half-mortal. This book is told in a pretty interesting format, where it alternates from Sabrina's perspective to one where we see some of the side characters perspectives. I absolutely loved to see all the family/friend dynamics, especially Tommy and Harvey, as we didn't see much of their dynamic in the show. I will say my one issue with this book was that I felt that the plot was very slow, and that's not one of my favorite things. But, overall I enjoyed the book, and it added quite a lot to the characters. I will definitely be picking up the sequel when it comes out. I highly recommend!

This book was a fun and easy read. It was exactly what I needed. The story was very slow placed and easy to follow.

I typically don't enjoy books that are adaptations of TV shows, but I thought Sarah Rees Brennan did a great job portraying all the characters accurately, especially Ambrose's humor. Harvey got annoying at some points but I was well aware that the ways he expresses his love for Sabrina were meant to be extremely exaggerated due to certain circumstances. I especially loved the poetic language of the author's writing in the "What Happens in the Dark" chapters. I also preferred the third person narration in those sections and getting into various characters' minds that way, as opposed to Sabrina's first-person narration. I will say that if I weren't a fan of the show, I probably wouldn't have liked reading this as much, but that's not the case because I absolutely love the Netflix Original, so I was excited to find this novel at my library.

I started this book a few days ago and finally finished it this evening. I could not put it down, nor did I want to. I love how vividly in detail that this book is! This book had me addicted from the first page.
I had my suspicions about the "Wishing Well Spirit" from the beginning. She just seemed too good to be true. My prediction was proven to true when I found out that she had been an awful sea demon in disguise. When she tried to take Sabrina away, I feared for her. I'm so glad that Sabrina was much stronger than the rusulka demon. I was so happy that her family came together to save her. I really loved that Amberose wouldn't let her go because he wanted to protect her with his life. I loved the touching moments at the end that Amberose and Sabrina had. It made me love his character even more than I had before. I rate this book a 10/10! Would highly recommend!

I think if I read this before watching the show I would like it much better. It was almost identical to the show. There were some differences but nothing crazy. I honestly would probably skip reading this and just watch the show. That's just my opinion.

Total schwierig zu bewerten. Erst hat mich das Buch nicht so ganz überzeugt, dann habe ich in die TV-Serie reingeschaut, für die das Buch ein Prequel ist, und plötzlich hat es besser funktioniert.
