UPDATE 14/05:

If you scroll down this review and read how much anticipation I had for this book, you'll see why I was so bothered and even disappointed with it.
I had expectations with End of Days, I mean the second book, [b:World After|17849112|World After (Penryn & the End of Days, #2)|Susan Ee|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1423238855l/17849112._SX50_.jpg|18142457] wasn't as good as the first one. But it was still entertaining and satisfying. But I only wanted one thing: to have my questions answered. And even though that's a quite understandable need coming from a reader, Ee didn't deliver. It was like she squashed everything else that didn't supply the Raffe/Penryn romance and didn't bother with the backstory!
Penryn was strong! Filled with awesomesauce and righteousness. But even when she thought that Raffe was going to
Spoiler KILL THOUSANDS OF HUMANS
it didn't really cause that much of a reaction on her! She became the
SpoilerLEADER OF THE FREAKING RESISTANCE
and that wasn't as explored as it could have!
And I'll be all spoiler-y right now, excuse me:
SpoilerAnd the ending! So many loose ends! Susan Ee had so many back characters who deserved more!
Gabriel was crazy? How the hell Uriel managed to kill him? Weren't human bullets that took him down? Could they do it?
The mother! Was she really just batshit crazy? Or did she had some insight of what was going to happen?
Raffe just stayed on Earth forever with Penryn? Really? He's just fine with seeing her aging and die? How the hell did he get the demon wings back? Wouldn't they wither after he removed them?
And humans were just fine with the Watchers and Penryn's sister and those monsters of hers? Really?

This book was a tiny disappointing in some aspects, but what ruined it for me really was that ending. Ee could even write another book with that many loose ends! A prequel even! Just EXPLAIN THINGS gosh dammit.
That being said, I did enjoy most of it? For real, it started right where the second book took off and everything was happening and they were making out and badassery... Then I was dissapointed. But still this book gets three stars from me, if only because it actually made me feel and care enough to want more.

I just felt this was not a good ending to the series. I really enjoyed the other two novels, but this one just didn't have the same feeling.

I am so sad that it is over, but i really did enjoy how it ended.

I would rate this 4.5 tbh. it was a fantastic conclusion to an amazing trilogy!

A very good wrap-up to a very unexpected, crazy journey! Penryn has managed to make her way into my very limited selection of favorite badass females. The epic-ness that should have been their love didn't reach its full potential so that was disappointing. It was there but it wasn't front and center that I feel it should have been once it all ended.

This series is going to stick with me for a while!
