Great book
You need to start at the beginning. Penryn is amazing. She is seeing and vulnerable and teenager like without to many feels drawing away from the story. The world is immersive and well thought out. The end seemed a bit quick but that may have just been because I read this so quickly. Read this series.

Bummer. Read book 1, it was great (read it in 1 night). Read book 2, it was alright but I was still so enthralled by the story and characters that I still enjoyed it. Book 3, I had such high hopes but I can't get over how disappointed I was. I feel like the series was winding up so much and I expected so much more from the last book. Instead, all these new characters were introduced (and I loved them but hardly got to read anything about them), I feel like character development somewhat stalled, the plot seemed like it left a large amount of info behind the scenes or unknown to us, the world was so intriguing and I wanted to know so much more about the world and angel drama but the story just kind of... ended. Even the romance that was building up through the entire series, came to a conclusion in such an awkward, immature conversation that made me cringe s o h a r d. I found myself finishing the one page epilogue and thinking "okay..?"
Still entertaining but especially the ending just got really cheesy and had some logic holes and left a lot to be desired.

I plowed through this bad boy! Loved every bit of it! One of the few final books in a trilogy that I enjoyed as much as the earlier books.
Rating: 3.5 stars
I held off on reading EoD b/c of the lukewarm reviews and once I decided to tackle it, I wanted to go in with an open mind. *heavy sigh*
Oy! There is so much that happens and the expected romance that blossomed between Penryn and Raffe seemed too quick and should have been more subtle.
Don't get me wrong, I loved the action. ALL.OF.IT. However, it just seemed to be too quick. I wanted to feel things. Like gut-wrenching emotional whiplash. I think that's the part that felt absent in this installment and that was disappointing.
With that being said, I'm glad I read it b/c I did enjoy it but I didn't love it like the first two in the trilogy.

I'm finally done with this series! I think this warrants a celebration because apparently it takes me forever to actually finish series since I always start new books instead of finishing the series that I have already started.
Now, for me personally this book series was just okay. It did feel a bit juvenile for me but I'm also not sure if that's because it's a fairly old series. I was never really invested in the series and it was cringe-worthy at times but it wasn't necessarily bad. It was more of a "if you have nothing else to read and want a kinda interesting book that can hold your attention" book.

This trilogy is fabulous!
Really enjoyed all of these characters and I will definitely remember them.
This book in particular was not as great as the first two.
It was still very good, but in some spots it lacked.
The ending was a little rushed and I still had some unanswered questions.
As a trilogy overall it is wonderful and I do recommend these books so much.

This book did not disappoint me in any way.
This series will forever be one of my favorites.
The fun and witty banter between the characters (especially Raffe and Penryn) never failed to be entertaining. I often find myself quoting them to my friends. ("Are you speaking English?" And "You are just a bird with an attitude." Are two of my favorites. Both conveniently from the first book, Angelfall, but the sequels are just as humorous). The relationship between Penryn and her mother and sister were also intriguing. She would do anything for little Paige, despite the horrible ordeals Paige endured, and how it changed her. Penryn's mother was also extremely interesting. Since she did not have a stable mental state, her actions were always unpredictable (to the point where they could range from funny to creepy).
Even the minor characters (such as Cara, Tattoo, Alpha, Doc, Martin, the Watchers, and the driver) were interwoven beautifully into the plot. Also, this review would be meaningless if I didnt mention DeeDum. Even though you never know who is who, they are such lovable characters that you cant help but adore them. They are similar in a way to Fred and George Weasley from the Harry Potter series.
As for the angels, Uriel was a character you loved to hate. He was a perfect antagonist. He was a "born politician" and easily could lie all day in order to win over the people. His is manipulative and cunning and completely apathetic. I wont say more in order to avoid spoilers, but he is a great character. Beliel is an even better character, in my opinion. In each book, you gradually learn more about him until you're unsure how you feel. Can you forgive him for his awful mistakes? Should you feel any sympathy for him? These questions are answered differently for each reader, and make you think even more while reading. The Watchers were quite the opposite. You did not need to know them long to begin rooting for them and forgive them of any past mistakes (if they could be counted as mistakes). And finally- Raffe. The archangel Raphael. I cant say too much once again to avoid spoilers, but his witty remarks, his bravery, his loyalty to Penryn, his loyalty to those loyal to him and to the law, his sass, and his wonderful character development, all make me love him even more.
Raffe and Penryn are the perfect partners in whatever way you want. Their trust in each other allows for them to be great when fighting for their lives together, as well as leading them to develop a (some what) romantic relationship.
Tl;dr- Beautiful, witty, moving, creepy, and inspiring story about a badass female who kicks ass while protecting her family and possibly falling in love with the enemy, who is also a witty, sassy badass warrior. Insert funny dialogue between characters, creepy experiments on humans, and violent battles as characters fight for their lives.

This book confused the crap out of me with all the Beliel stuff and how he’s in both the pit and the real world but only does in one where as the rest of the angels on Raffe’s ‘team’ only exist in one place. Bruh what. OH AND NOT TO MENTION. How is this book the first time I realized the main character is 17…. A MINOR with an ancient angel. Buuuuut it was still a good conclusion to the trilogy so I can’t complain too much. I loved the descriptiveness of the series and enjoyed the bit of gore I got to read. I’m a bit psycho like that. Tehe
That was literally perfect! The very end cracked me up. Penryn's mother <3
