3.5 ⭐️s. I liked it but I think it’s been too long (15 books) since I read the other two, I didn’t feel as invested.

Loved it!!!

Ok, yes! I like this kind of dystopian stories about angels and the end of the world and all that cliche stuff but I also really enjoyed the way this story is tell and how the characters keep doing the unexpected (except for the love story that we ALL know was going to happen eventually).

I’ve read so many different opinions about this trilogy and maybe that’s why it took me so long to get to it, BUT it’s definitely the kind of cliche I LOVE to read and with angels and demons and all those underworld creatures even better.

3.5 stars. Clearly my least favorite of the lot because of how it ended. Felt like a half assed attempt at wrapping everything up. I needed more action which I didn't get. But I would still recommend this series because of how fast paced and entertaining they are.

I think it was too long a time between reading the second book and this one. I don't remember Penryn being so goo-goo over Raffe. But other than that, a nice finish. A little too tidy at the end for my taste, but still a good series overall.

Maybe 3.5 stars. Undecided exactly where this one sits.

While still enjoyable, it was far less than the first 2 books. Questions I have had were not answered. A lot of them. Too much to the story was left unexplained. They made Penryn's mom less insane mad and it seems like there is more to her rotten eggs than meets the eye but nothing ever comes of it. The one shocker is that I actually feel bad for one of the enemy in this book.

The story was decent in itself and writing still good. The pit was interesting but I must admit it was hard to visualize. It keep changing my my minds eye. And this really left me unsure what I think of Raffe. But I love Dee and Dum!

While I did like the book, I was hoping that the ending of the trilogy would be more powerful psychologically; instead it was blunt brutality and bloodbath pretty much throughout the whole book, with a pretty weak and rushed ending. I think Ee could have crafted it much more artfully - the first two books are proof that she knows how to tell an intricate story. However, ithe book was very intense and suspenseful; the nightmare scenes from the pit were excellent in their horrendousness.

*2.75 STARS

I don't want to say it, but [b: End of Days|18500665|End of Days (Penryn and the End of Days, #3)|Susan Ee|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1423384676s/18500665.jpg|19250719] was disappointing. I did like some parts, but compared to the first two books, its humor fell flat and its characters weren't as likeable.

In this particular story, Penryn and Raffe are reunited and they are searching for a doctor to reattach his wings and fix Paige. The angels, meanwhile, are starting to vote for their Messenger and the war continues to brew between humans and angels. The two have a choice to make: to side with each other, or their kind.

Though the plot ends up being fine in this conclusion, I had much higher hopes for the way it would end. Partly I was discouraged by the romance and how it was portrayed, but also, I just found it to be lacking in areas where I wanted it to develop.

There are a few actions scenes, which helped the entertainment-factor, but the ending wasn't what I expected. I liked perhaps some of the insight we got into one particular character who was a bit villainous in the first two, and the Fallen, but it would have been better if I had found more unpredictability and found the humor to be as good as the first two. It seems that it's a bit repetitive in terms of plot looking back (Paige always incited Penryn to move), and the whole rebellion last-stand scenario was predictable, but Ee could have used the extra pages to do something more.

Overall, it was okay, only I don't think that it is on nearly the same level as the previous books. I almost want to chalk it up to rushed timelines, or writing unsurety.

Really entertaining, with some clunky writing at parts? The action is definitely the strength here.

Somehow I missed reviewing this one. Probably because it was so amazing that I was still thinking about the book when I was done. The world is just so well written and sucks you right back in. The action moves quickly but doesn't lose the reader. I love this trilogy.
