If you are both a cleaning enthusiast and a manga lover, this is for you!

The story is fairly well done. It touches on deep and hard stuff, like not having a home and depression. It was strangely interesting. I have to say, Kyousuke Motomi's mangas are the most unique things I've read. They have the story play out in a silly but almost somehow serious way.

Motomi tried really hard but they didn't make their characters different enough. I have read the other two mangas that this author have produced (Dengeki Daisy and Beast Master). The main character and the love interest are just so similar to those in Daisy and Beast Master. They really tried though. I can tell.

The art style is Motomi's iconic style. I think my only complaint about this would be that most of the male guys (who are handsome) have very skinny arms, making the hands disproportionately too big.

So this is volume, and this series as a whole, falls under the "rereading to see if I still like it/want to continue with it" category, and unfortunately the answers to both of those questions is no.

I want to make it clear that a) this is NOT a bad series, in fact I think this volume sets up both main characters and the world well, and b) I do recommend people try out this series especially if you like supernatural romance. But while I do recommend it and acknowledge that it's good, I was not engaged while rereading this volume and felt little to nothing towards the main characters. I think the world is interesting and I like this take on the whole "evil emotions manifest as bugs and can infect others," but this concept is also it's downfall in my opinion. The problem is that I've now read so many series that have a similar concept (Noragami and Jujutsu Kaisen are the first two that come to mind) and I like those worlds and those characters better.

As with a lot of series I've been rereading recently, the biggest problem with this series is that this concept was fresh and exciting when I was getting back into manga in late 2015 to early 2016, but there have been SO MANY series that I have since read and have done this concept better that QQ Sweeper just doesn't interest me now.

For the record, I own all of the current volumes of this and the sequel series Queen's Quality, and have read up to volume 6, but didn't remember a lot of the characters and plot, hence the reread. Sadly though, I'm going to end this reread here and am dropping this series. Please, PLEASE bare in mind that this is an intriguing and disturbing series that I do recommend people try, but I'm not interested in it anymore and I'm not going to force myself to read a series I've lost interest in. Give this one a chance, I think a lot of people will enjoy it, I've simply fallen out of love with it.

AHHHHH I missed Kyousuke Motomi so much!! One of my favorites mangakas, and I love every single of her mangas (knowing her thanks to my favorite shoujo: Dengeki Daisy).
Here, QQ Sweeper was different but very interesting. A vol1 quite short, but that gives me the want to read more about this story. I hesitated between 4 and 5 stars, but gave it a 4 because I'm not too much in the story yet but I'm ready to get really into it soon!

This review is for the whole series. Proceed with caution.

Um how did this rip out my heart and stomp on it in three volumes? Very impressive. Anyway, QQ Sweeper is a stinkin cute romance with a healthy dose of mystery and a dash of fantasy. It’s a great “prequel” of sorts to the main story (which is Queen’s Quality) in which we will learn much more about this word. If you don’t like reading series without solid endings, this isn’t for you. A lot of questions are left unanswered, the romance technically doesn’t go anywhere, and it lacks a lot for an ending. But it’s a fantastic set up.

Overall, super cute, very dark at times, but a great set up to an intriguing plot.

Cleaning out people's minds from the dark thoughts? Yes! Wish there were real people doing that... Even though they are high schoolers it doesn't put a lot of time there in the beginning book so the plot line flows fairly quickly.
