It was too long and drawn out for a fun chick-lit read. And it was too vapid to be considered literature.

I continue to love Lindsey Kelk's books! I'm not sure why I waited so long to read About A Girl after devouring her I Heart Series. I loved everything about this book - except the cliffhanger of an ending (luckily I recently won the second book in this series through Goodreads, so I'll be reading that soon).
I don't want to give away too much. I felt like I was right there with Tess, and enjoying Hawaii right along with her. If you enjoyed the I Heart Series, you will thoroughly enjoy reading About A Girl.

I really enjoyed this book and I think it was probably my favourite Lindsey Kelk book. This book follows Tess who loses her job and decides to impersonate her flatmate on a photography job in Hawaii.
I thought that this book was a lot of fun. I really liked the main character. In Kelk's other series (the I Heart Series) I find the main character to be slightly annoying and frustrating but I didn't experience this with Tess. Although the plot is predictable it was still really enjoyable and I found the love interest to be a lot more interesting than in the I Heart series.
If you are looking for a fun, entertaining, quick read then this will be the perfect book for you. I liked all the characters I could easily imagine them and the events that took place. I think this would work well as a film. I am looking forward to picking up the next book to see what will happen with Tess and the other characters.

Such a fun book. Everything in this book happens within a small span of time, yet it is light, funny, intriguing, and adventurous. It is about finding yourself albeit in an extreme manner. I liked the main character's voice. This book attracted me to the rest of the author's work that I hope to get an opportunity to read.

This was such a fun read. It opens with Tess in the middle of a very large life crisis, and then leads into how she ended up in that position. Taking a phonecall meant for her roommate, Tess ends up photographing a fashion spread in Hawaii. Oh, and she's not a photographer, and her name definitely isn't Vanessa. Yeah, maybe it was a bit far-fetched, but who cares? Sometimes it's fun to lose yourself in the impossible and just enjoy a book. Besides, who hasn't wanted to try on someone else's life at least once? I have.
I found myself relating to Tess a lot. Things she'd say or do were definitely things I'd have said/done myself. The things I didn't like about Tess were things that I don't like in myself, which was an interesting revelation while reading.
I liked the friendship between Paige and Tess, but especially between Amy and Tess. I think everyone needs a friend that they can be completely honest with, and who can tell you when you're being a pain in the butt.
I'm excited that there's another book coming in the summer of 2014, as I'm very excited to see where Tess ends up next. I hope she chooses to continue her unpredictable adventures.
