4.5 What a tale this author weaves, she can take simple characters and turn their lives into a most fantastic story. She has her trade mark love triangle, one powerful but doesn't know it yet girl, one hardened handsome boy, and another one that is understanding sweet romantic and also of course handsome. She does this well never having it be the center of the story. She creates a unique world of "others" vampires, warlocks, shadowhunters.. gadgets, automated people. The world created is so detailed and interesting I could read this book several times and still not absorb it all. It ends in a cliffhanger, so I am bitting my nails waiting for the next one.

It's sort of a slow book, the action in this book takes a while to get to. If you aren't in patient reading mood, it's hard to stay invested. May pick up again during the summer.

I’ve been going heavy with the nostalgic reads (I.e. needing a serotonin boost) and these just do not disappoint - ever. The diversity in these books is just amazing and the setting is so atmospheric. Rereading these is like visiting an old friend.
