shoutout taylor for letting me borrow, highly grateful. i thoroughly enjoyed, and am just happy to get into the shadowhunters universe in i feel like a less committed way. i am also SUCH a sucker for any victorian era london vibes, and I LOVE WILL (i know he’s a bitch but i don’t care)

The plot was great. I loved it! But the excerpt of Magnus' Bow made my heart break.

Drew me back into the Shadowhunter world, and I'm looking forward to the rest of the trilogy. However, an immortal falling in love with a mortal will forever be the most tragic story line, in my opinion. I'm already bracing myself.

Absolutely loved it. I fell in love with Will Herondale from the first time i saw him. Also, it's very different from what we have seen in the first series of 6 books.

Is there any way to give this book a 10 star review? Because that's what it deserves. I'm almost glad I started with TMI instead if TID, because I suspect I would have been disappointed if I had.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! The storyline, the characters, the world, relationships were all so complex and SO BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN it was close to perfection. I loved the main character Tessa who is very outspoken which makes for a fun main character and the way the plot twists worked out was perfection! I did not expect them coming especially the magister one was very unexpected. Although many people swoon over and love Will, I didn't see all the hype but I guess that might change over the course of the next 2 books. I loved Jem though. The only tiny problem was the ending. It was a bit underwhelming as I was expecting a bit more of I don't know what. its just that the story was building up to something more huge that I feel wasn't accomplished at the end although I AM SO EXCITED TO CONTINUE WITH THIS SERIES!!!!
