Read for bookclub
There always seems to be sexual vulgarity in his books - mostly for shock value it seems.
That being said, he writes characters well. The dinner scene arguments and convos felt real.
Switching POV for the last part felt abrupt - I would have preferred it to be Perry’s.
Overall, the story wasn’t for me but there were things to like.

A brilliant love story that made me feel as hopeful as I did devastated. Each chapter, separated by several months and even years, feels like its own short story. The final chapter, written from the point of a view of an entirely new character we hadn’t encountered before, threw me initially but it ends up bringing together the whole thing beautifully. In many ways, a wonderful bookend to Tsiolkas’ first novel Loaded.
