Book #30 Read in 2019
Soof by Sarah Weeks

This is a companion novel to the book So B. It and it was just as good. Aurora is a quirky kid and her mother worries a lot about her. There is a house fire and Aurora's dog Duck goes missing and is presumed dead. This was a good, quick read.

This one was ok for me. I liked the message it sent, but I felt parts of the plot were quick and could have been more developed.

According to Goodreads back in the day I really loved So B. It, but this was not as endearing to me. Still a must buy and recommend to kids, though. I like that the MC was 'weird' but not because she was on the spectrum - a comfort to kids who are different but not clinically different.

How convenient to just finish listening to So B. It with my kids last month, to find that there was a sequel released recently. My 10 year old son, and 8 year old daughter both really enjoyed So B. It and now, Soof. Soof doesn't focus on Heidi that much, she is mentioned repeatedly, but the main character is Aurora - daughter of Roy & Ruby. We all really liked Aurora and her "weirdness." She was jealous of Heidi until she finally meets her.

This was a nice, realistic family story that we could enjoy together. Good listen.

Hadn't read So.B.It in many years, so I was a little lost on some of the plot, but it was an enjoyable enough read that a student wouldn't be too lost if they picked this up for the fun cover and didn't have the back story.

I didn’t think I needed to read So B. It to read this one, but I was mistaken. I felt like I was missing something half the time. A heartfelt book, but based on my experience and others’ reviews, I would suggest reading So B. It first.

I think I would have liked it better if I had read So B. It. It’s a little rough around edges (talking about characters and situations that don’t get explained in detail etc)if you haven’t read first one so not really a companion novel to me, more of a sequel. But sweet and likable feel good realistic fiction.

Had me full of smiles and a few laughs! Aurora is an incredibly endearing protagonist. It fell short for me in just the last 5 pages. The last chapter felt tacked on and almost like it was written by someone else. A tad disappointing and almost tipped me to 3 stars but I appreciate it as a great companion to So B. It.
