What a great follow up to So B. It.

I wish I would have re-read So B. It before reading this, because I spent so much time trying to remember the details of the first book instead of enjoying this one. It was a sweet book, and I liked the fact that Aurora didn't have a diagnosis or a label, but just had some quirks.

Great quick read for lovers of So B. It! Sarah Weeks does it again with another captivating novel.

Had me full of smiles and a few laughs! Aurora is an incredibly endearing protagonist. It fell short for me in just the last 5 pages. The last chapter felt tacked on and almost like it was written by someone else. A tad disappointing and almost tipped me to 3 stars but I appreciate it as a great companion to So B. It.

A cute, simplistic children’s novel that is heavily referential to its preceding companion book, So B. It. “So B. It” felt enjoyable for an audience of nearly all ages - I first read it in 5th grade, and at the age of 23 now I feel it still holds up very well! But “Soof” skews to much younger readers, despite its main character being the same age as Heidi was in the first novel. I enjoyed parts of it, but some of the exact recap from the first book felt oddly placed. It was nice to get a small degree of continuation on Heidi’s story, just not totally necessary.

Ultimately, I’m just not the intended audience for this! Which is totally fine - young readers will likely love it. Aurora is a good character. I highly recommend they read “So B. It” first. Glad I read it.
