I loved So B. It, so when I recently found out there was a sequel, I had to pick it up. While I thought this story was touching, it definitely doesn’t live up So B. It. It was good to see Heidi again and hear about her life in between the first and the second book, but I kind of wanted to hear more about her childhood. And though I liked Aurora’s voice, I also found her a little difficult to like at times. Overall though, I’m glad I got to revisit this story once again, and I enjoyed the ending!

Even though this is a stand-alone sequel, I recommend reading/listening to the first book to fully understand the characters.

It's possible you have to be fan of the first book ([b:So B. It|237320|So B. It (So B. It, #1)|Sarah Weeks|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1386925805s/237320.jpg|894503]) to be a fan of this one. I've never read So B. It. (I'm not sure why or how I missed that one as I generally read and enjoy Sarah Weeks's books.) Anyway, I found myself having a hard time liking anyone who was a character in that first book or understanding any of their motivations. There were a lot of things that appeared to happen for plot conveniences and not because they actually made any sense. Aurora is a gem though. I loved her voice and wanted to kidnap her.

I loved So B. It and I loved Soof. This book was beautiful, heart warming, and the perfect companion piece. My heart feels so full.

Perfect companion (2nd) book to So B. It. The ending made me cry, and it brought me back to all the feelings I had to the first book. Soof.

Book #30 Read in 2019
Soof by Sarah Weeks

This is a companion novel to the book So B. It and it was just as good. Aurora is a quirky kid and her mother worries a lot about her. There is a house fire and Aurora's dog Duck goes missing and is presumed dead. This was a good, quick read.

“Soof” is the sequel to “So B. It”. Told from the perspective of Aurora, the daughter of Ray and Rube Franklin (the family Heidi stayed with when she went to visit Hilltop Home). Aurora has some abnormal tendencies which causes her mom to have her tested. Aurora feels like she lives in the shadow of Heidi who is coming for a visit during the summer before her baby arrives. How will they get along upon finally meeting? Read “Soof” to find out!
