Rats are smart and cool, mouses should all live somewhere cute, and outdoor cats are VERY VERY BAD. Epic book love it.

I never read this as a kid and my wife insisted that I would love it. She was right. It's a wonderful children's story that is just interesting enough to keep an adult engaged. We must protect Jeremy the crow at all costs.

A great and fun read! I'm sure it's allegorical, but I just read it for the adventure of the NIMH rats and their cooperation and friendship with Mrs. (and Mr.) Frisby. I've saved it on my shelf for a re-read when I feel the need to concentrate on the allegory.

I’m ride-or-die for the movie adaptation but the book is great too. I kinda like that there’s no real antagonist, just obstacles that the characters have to think their way through.
