Pretty intense for a kids book…I really liked the little farm world and how all the different animals interacted. I liked how the rats of Nimh came to be. Overall a really thoughtful and sweet story. I wanted more resolution in the end but I get it.

So much backstory for the Rats, which is made so quick and punchy in the movie, but here goes on and on. It's too much detail, and Mrs Frisby kind of gets lost in all of it. But I still like it rather a bit.
