It was cool. I thought the humor and food puns were cute. I was with it until the very end. Weddings in picture books annoy me. I feel like it introduces themes of romantic love when it's unnecessary to the plot. Especially when they're heteronormative. The two holding hands would be cool, without them being dressed in traditional wedding garb. I mean, "he" was nice to her, gave her some good advice... so they got married? The message is murky, especially with cupcake being such a "girly" figure already. Meh.

Everyone loves cupcake is choc full of wonderful illustrations, a lovely play on words, and most importantly, a great narrative about being yourself! Great story about acceptance and how appearance and perfection isn't the sweetest thing.

Incredibly cute with clever food puns! It also has a wonderful message of self love and being true to yourself.

A clever follow-up to Everyone Loves Bacon (look closely on the milk carton in the beginning). It did make me long for a cupcake. DiPucchio once again does a great job with word play, and I did have a laugh-out-loud moment near the end.

Adorable characters with a great message about being yourself and not having to be perfect.

When Cupcake reveals her secret flaws (dyed frosting, hates birthday parties), everyone else is inspired to share theirs.
