I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

I just HAD to check this book out, I cannot remember ever reading a book about a moose who is also a fairy, so I was very curious how it worked out and what kind of things this fairy moose could do.

This was an incredibly sweet and cute book full of glitter, HOWEVER there just wasn’t any real magic, or well, maybe that tree opening up after a special knock was magic, but that was all. And I found that a real shame. I had expected some REAL big GLITTER magic. Changing that scary fox into something totally else and less dangerous for example. Or maybe magic up some chocolate cake. This magic fairy club seemed to just be a dress-up and have glittery fun club, so yeah, I was disappointed! It was cute, but not what I had hoped when I saw the cover/the title.

I did think that animals were quite rude to moose. You clearly state it is open to everyone and yet when someone 10 times your size pops up it is a problem. I am glad that it didn’t bother Moose, at least not in the beginning, and that he just had his fun. I am happy with the ending and how things were solved. I hope Moose and his friends have tons of glittery fun. I am happy that the animals opened up their eyes and saw that Moose just wanted to be a fairy, just like them, and that he was doing an excellent job at it.

I wasn’t too happy with Moose and how easily he just spoiled the secret knock. I get that you are unhappy and frustrated but you know it was a secret!

The art was so fun! I really liked the style!

So despite that disappointment that there was no real magic, I still had fun reading this book and would rate it 3 stars. Acceptance and glitter!

The illustrations made me love this picture book. I hope to see more of the moose fairy in the future.

I love books by Steve Smallman so I was excited to read this one.
This is a brilliantly funny and heartwarming story about being kind and making sure everyone is included.
Moose is very excited. He's seen a poster about a secret fairy club and can't wait to join. He carefully chooses an outfit and quickly finds the special meeting place. It all goes well to begin with. Moose is good at making glitter pictures and reciting the special fairy oath:-
'Fairies are kind to all creatures.
Fairies are not mean or bitter.
Fairies help others in trouble or need.
And make pretty pictures with glitter!'
Unfortunately though, Moose can't fit in the little fairy door in the tree so he starts to feel left out. Some of the other fairies are unkind and tell him he doesn't fit in.
Luckily for the other Fairies though Moose remembers his special oath and comes to the rescue when Fox comes calling. Mouse and the others soon realise how unkind they've been and accept Moose for who he is.
This would be a brilliant story to introduce children to the importance of inclusion and diversity. A great reminder to not leave people out and think about the effect our words have on other people. Moose sets a great example as he is kind despite being left out.
It is also a very fun and entertaining bedtime story. My children giggled at Moose dressed as a fairy and loved reciting the fairy oath. They also loved the secret fairy knock to open the special door. I'll definitely be purchasing a copy of this on 20th July to add to our collection. Thank you to Mel @Quarto Publishing for sending me this ecopy.

I’m always looking for books for my son and nieces that have a fun story but also an important message. This one is perfect for kids - amazing art work, teaches kids about inclusivity and being nice to others even when maybe they aren’t the nicest to you. Highly recommend this for your next story time!

Have you heard of a moose fairy? If not, this book is a lovely way to find out more about the secret fairy club and a moose who is also a fairy. The book is about a moose who joins the secret fairy club with tiny animals as members.
The moose passes the fairy tests, but a mouse is rude to him and says he doesn’t fit in with them. However, when the moose saves the mice and squirrels from the fox, they understand that he is the best of them all. The illustrations are lively and beautiful.
The message about fitting in and belonging is put across so the young readers/ listeners will understand. The book will be perfect for bedtime reading as well as in schools.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Moose wants to be a fairy, and she tries on all her favorite outfits to find the perfect one. When she gets there and passes the fairy test, some of the other new fairies make fun of Moose because of her size. But when something threatens the new fairies, Moose does not hesitate to step in and protect them, even though they were mean to her.

Cute story about forgiveness and acceptance. I enjoyed this cute little read!

This is a really nice story about understanding and respecting difference. It's a gentle story that finds Moose feeling left out of a Secret Fairy Club of mainly small animals, but events enable Moose to prove his abilities and be accepted after all. It's nicely illustrated and the positive message about being kind and accepting the differences of others is well done. Enjoyable.
My thanks to #NetGalley and Happy Yak for the ARC in return for an honest review.

Not gonna lie, I judged a book by it's cover to grab this book. What can I say, a Moose Fairy is just way to interesting to pass up! Plus the squirrel, bunny and skunk on the cover make it stand out a lot.

This fun tale brings an adorable story to life. It makes magical times feel real and exciting, even if it's just a fictional story. There's a fairy club and our moose friend wants to join! It sounds perfect for Moose! The twirling, the singing and the glitter all sound so exciting, especially for Mr. Moose! The only problem... he doesn't fit through the tiny hole to the clubhouse! But when he comes to the rescue of his new friends, there might just be hope!

This book is so sweet and so cute. It brought so much happiness to my heart. I highly recommend it! A tale of friendship and fitting in, so great!

Five out of five stars!

Thank you NetGalley for giving me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

What a lovely children's story about kindness and helping make sure that everyone is able to fit into the group. Moose wants nothing more than to be a fairy and join the secret fairy club but his immense size makes it impossible to fir I to the secret tree house location. However, when trouble lurks for his fairy friends, Fairy Moose charges to their rescue. Such a heartwarming story and there are lots of amazing pictures of fairy costumes, wands and of course the all-important glitter pictures. My daughter adores the Fairy Oath so we have taken to repeating it often. Thank you to the publishers and Steve Smallman #TheMooseFairy #SteveSmallman #NetGalley

Kids today are really lucky to have so many delightful reading options available to them. This book is no exception.

Moose joins a secret fairy club but discovers that the rest of the members are much smaller in size. Can he fit in, or will his size get in the way of being a true fairy?

The story is absolutely heart-warming. Children will love how Moose does his best to fit in, but soon learns that he just needs to be himself. The other little animals will also provide a lesson on how to accept others for their nature than their appearance.

The author himself is the illustrator of this book, and that seems to create a magical impact. Such beautiful illustrations! They are vibrant and charming and sometimes even quirky.

This will serve wonderfully as a read-aloud to early readers as there are ample opportunities for parents/guardians to act out the story.

On an aside, I loved the author’s dedication to his grandchildren at the start of the book: “Be brave, be yourselves, and try to be the best “you” you can be!” What a fabulous bit of advice from a grandpa to his grandkids!

Thank you, NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group, for the ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.
