I wish the ending wasn’t so sad.

I enjoyed this book – especially the different perspectives that the main character would share when he was in different bodies and lives. Lots of good commentary.

Interesting concept (as only a YA novel can accomplish). Found it entertaining but not groundbreaking.

I'm in love with this book! Initially the idea of someone living in a different person's body for only one day was a little weird but after reading more I was won over and completely hooked.
David Levithan raises so many questions in this book and he discusses homosexuality, bullying, relationships and many other issues, but not in a way that is thrown in your face. He does this through the eyes of a perfect candidate. A, who is neither male or female because A lives the life of a different person for one day. So A becomes that person for that day and we see what A sees. What I loved is that A isn't biased and loves everyone for who they are.
This was so fresh and I highly recommend it. It's one of those novels that need to be experienced, I am so glad that we read this for my book club because we had lots to talk about.

I had clearly misjudged it - first twenty pages and I'm in shock of how quickly the book paced that I wondered if its staying power would be enough to have me remember it tomorrow. Yet I lingered and not in one moment did I put it down. And, let me just say that the ending was perfect and I might have subconsciously hoped it that way, though I did not exactly expect it. (Did I make sense? No? Okay.) Remarkably poignant. I'm at loss for words.
(By the way, it reminded me of a fetal version of Nifenegger's The Time Traveler's Wife.)

Tak jsem asi divná, ale ten konec jsem vůbec nepochopila. Jinak to byla příjemná oddechovka, Levithan má dobrý styl psaní.

I couldn't put it down, A's perspective on every person he inhibited was just so awesome and really gives you a moment to put yourself in others shoes. I absolutely love this book.

I just didn't find the character relatable and there were some fat-phobic parts that left a bad taste in my mouth. I wouldn't recommend
