A slow start but the action was real good in the middle. I also feel like it was way too quick to wrap up but still a very good book

Did we need a sequel? No
Was it as good as the first? No
Did I enjoy it? Very much so.
While some parts were drawn on or frustrating, I really enjoyed how the character development and how the story builds on itself and ready player one. The bad guy(s) were a bit cliche but maybe that was the point.
Worth the read, I had a lot of fun. Also worth noting this author does diversity right

It was pretty good, but there was way too much world-building for a sequel. Ready Player One was much better.

It was ok. Definitely not as good as the first. But gave another interesting look into the world that Cline has created. The first third of the book seems to be told from the perspective of a flashback, and I'm just not a fan of that writing style.
The first book took place over the span of a longer period of time, this book had a lot crammed into a shorter period of time from the readers perspective. It didn't grab me as much.
That being said, the book isn't a waste of time, it is a story. It just doesn't have as much wow factor as the first book did.

Wil Wheaton is so fun to listen to! He’s one of the main reasons I picked up this second installment. The plot was similar to the original, so it didn’t feel much different than the first one. If you love 80s pop culture, go for it!
