Another fun ride Riordan provides! On to the last one in this series.

A pretty good follow-up to the first! I enjoyed reading this with my son.

The second book in the Kane Chronicles was full of action and adventure, and yet somehow I was bored. I kept drifting off while I was reading and had to go back and re-read passages because I wasn't really paying attention. I'll read the third just so I can finish the trilogy, but so far it's not up to my expectations.

Same critics as the first book, but here the ending was apparently not memorable cause I don't remember it.

So, I liked this book a bit better than the Red Pyramid, but I found myself very annoyed by Sadie's relentless crushing on Anubis and Walt, and Carter's obsession with Zia (which is honestly borderline creepy). I found myself wanting to throttle both of them towards the end of the book.

I'm hoping Serpent's Shadow will give them some redemption, but I find it unlikely.
