This is a fun read, the mythology is extremely interesting. I love the style of how it's written by a brother and sister taking turns recording their memory of what happened. It's delightful and would be a great family book for young adult children.

This book sets up a lot for what’s to come in the next novel, but I still love it. The style really brings to life Sadie and Carter as characters. Love the ways the gods are portrayed (shoutout to Bes, the BEST god 🥹). Always a pleasure to reread!

I did enjoy this book but for some reason just not as much as the previous one. The character arcs and story building is well done, ABS while there is definitely a sense of childlike awe to the story, the presence of many adults in this series changes the time a bit, as well as the heavier handed love interest lines.

Following the first book of Kane Chronicles: The Red Pyramid, The Throne of Fire is continuing Carter and Sadie's adventure to saves the world. I have to say that I like this book much better than the first one. The Brooklyn Magician House got much trainees even though both Carter and Sadie were not hosting any God anymore but they are still doing awesome. They met this awesome God of dwarfs called Bes which helping him in order to waking up the Sun God: Ra. New characters added here are so interesting as well.
