This is a beautiful little collection to go through while you're waiting for your next Ilona Andrews fix. Seeing things from Curran's perspective is a nice addition to the series, giving us a bit more insight into the mind of the fearsome Beast Lord. And goodness, is it magical. Loved every moment, devoured every word and then got disappointed with myself when it was over! If you're a fan of the Kate Daniels world, this is a must read. No ifs and buts about it!

I'm really glad that the authors released these scenes from Curran's POV. I think they add so much depth to Curran's character, and to Kate and Curran's relationship development.

The first nine stories are available for free on the author's website.

UNICORN LANE (#1 Magic Bites)
FERNANDO'S (#1 Magic Bites)
SOUP (#2 Magic Burns)
MIDNIGHT GAMES (#3 Magic Strikes)
HOT TUB (#3 Magic Strikes)
KATE'S ORIGIN (After # 3 Magic Strikes)
NAKED DINNER (After #3 Magic Strikes)
CONCLAVE (#4 Magic Bleeds)
AWAKE (After #4 Magic Bleeds)

A tenth Curran story can be found in Small Magics:

It's interesting how Curran is funnier than Kate. He hardly ever stirs trouble, but he's always sucked into it. This alpha could be a saint! Haha I enjoyed the stories, they're very simple and easy to read. It's like snacks that you have between meals.

I was really nice getting Curran's POV. I like getting the raw to the point details of a man's brain. They don't think like women, and Alpha males like to take what the want. I did get some spoilers because these books went further then I had read, but I don't mind, so long as I know they stop being so stubborn! lol
