I absolutely enjoyed the Curran POV Collection, in which I read important scenes from the Kate Daniels series narrated by Curran. We also got extra scenes and even got a glimpse into Jim's point of view. The short stories allowed me to relive a bit of the atmosphere of the whole series and go back to the very beginning.

Being able to read the perspective of the Beast Lord was such a great experience and we also get to revisit some amazing moments from the books. It was so much fun to read his thoughts and to watch him fall in love with Kate as well as get some small snippets of his life and responsibilities as leader of the Pack.

Reading these along with each book... this is full of spoilers about the books and series.

#1 Unicorn Lane: poor Kate cannot resist being herself and Curran goes from thinking she is some scummy merc to being intrigued.

#2 Fernando's: I have to admit Curran is not at his finest here - he's obviously bored with his current arm candy and is intrigued by Kate (and it is good to know Myong was purely eye candy, not anything more). He can't understand why she isn't returning the favor and jump in his swamp tank with him. Ha! It is good to see how much he has changed from this.

#3 Soup: this scene is great from both POVs. It is sweet to see how much Curran is coming to care for Kate and see his determination to make her his through plotting and schemes.

#4: Midnight Games: Curran begins to see Kate as an alpha, it is so interesting to see it from his POV. Kate just is being herself but she is willing to step up to take away pain from her friends and family.

#5: Hot Tub: Boom chicka wow wow... the almost hook-up! I love how Curran is already all in and Kate has no clue. She's just so used to being alone and so starved for love and attention - it makes me relieved that he is so patient. Damn Derrick and ultimate cock block moment, though interesting how he takes it to Kate and doesn't really talk to Curran about it... she's in charge in this situation.

#6: Kate's Origin: Well, helloooo. This was most interesting - Curran did seem to have a non-reaction to Kate's reveal later on and this is why. Ugh, it is so sad she had to fight from such a young age.... Hurray to Curran for not caring cause he's right about Roland still coming - aka the next book.

#7 Naked Dinner SO this is where things are starting to get really good. Curran's adventures elsewhere - I love seeing him in good mood Beast Lord mode with Aunt Bea and then investigating Boris's murder. Plus learning more about the Pack. It is too bad he didn't ask someone to call Kate a call earlier - a lot of angst on both sides could have been avoided.

There’s nothing I love more than when authors know their readers and give them free content we’ve been begging for. And that’s exactly what this is.

Did I know I needed Curran’s perspective on the crucial moments in this series? Absolutely not. But now that I have it, how did I ever survive without?

Reading this, you know it was for the readers and not for the publisher. Almost lazily written in a way, it was awesome.

Look, I'm a sucker for the Andrews and their writing. I also couldn't resist reading something from Curran's POV. He is, as I suspected, an ass, but he's our ass.
