Difficult to rate this one because on the one hand, the ending was great and I am now definitely going to read the sequel.

But on the other hand it literally didn't hook me until about the last 2 hours of the audiobook and I was basically just bored for the first 80% of the book.

So thinking of this book as perhaps very long exposition for a series, I'm excited, but on it's own it was mostly "meh."

I loved the dark London and in the end really liked the story but it was a bit too slow for me in the beginning. Luckily I know from the Captive Prince books that I can get sucked in Pacats stories when we are further in the books. And that happened here again. So slow start but real good towards the end!
