THIS WAS SO GOOD??? WHAT WAS THAT ENDING????
I predicted the ending slightly towards the revelation but also not really so it's still super surprising but also....the end end part broke meeeee
I was so confused when they introduced Katherine but after everything was explained it kinda made sense but now I have to consume the sequel asap. RN

The book ended with the exact revelation i hoped it will end with. And i've been dying to find a book with that end!

now this is a surprise, if captive prince has no haters then I'm dead, so I was prepared to hate this one too, but i gave it a chance and turns out, it was quite decent

tho I was confused 80% of the time and sometimes i felt as if there was some glitch and other book started playing, but the story was nice, second half was definitely better than the first, however there were too many characters and i was confused who's who most of the time

but i will read the second book so I think it's a huge succes

nah cause I just knew the author of captive prince wouldn't disappoint 😩💕 first 50% are quite slow but it's necessary worldbuilding and it still gives you enough little mysteries that it keeps you on reading. Last 50% are just an absolute joy to read and I cannot wait to continue reading.

I flew through this book in two reading sessions. Overall the story was interesting enough and the characters were likeable. I'd say if you enjoyed Legendborn by Tracy Deonn this might also interest you.

My biggest issue with this book is that the author could have been more creative when naming the powers of good and evil instead of just calling them the 'light' side and the 'dark' side. I found myself rolling my eyes a couple of times when
Spoiler the main bad guy's name is just 'Simon' and the honourable knight is named 'Justice' like c'mon
. Another thing I would've liked is if the characters were given a little bit more time to develop - the book feels as if it took place in the span of one week despite taking months and some of them became instafriends. The plot twist at the end was predictable but it left me interested enough to continue reading this series.
