This book was an apocalyptic  Hieronymus Bosch painting on acid, but instead of painting his usual monsters and animals he substituted in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. A nasty little treat that critiques  the horrors humans are capable of when fighting to be a part of the in-group. It also does an effective job of looking at the evils that can result when religion and faith are removed from a society and the terrors that can arise when those pillars are replaced with less noble goals and god's. A sociological study of families, communities, religion and the human need to assimilate at all costs.

Liked the first 20 pages and the world building of it but that was it. This book was boring, disjointed, and confusing.

The premise of this book was great and it was very creative. One of the best plots of a dystopian book I have read so far. I really enjoyed the world building in Better World. The downside of this book is the dialogue. It seemed very manufactured to me and it bothered me a lot. Also I wasn’t a fan of the mother daughter controversy and I honestly felt like it took away from the book. Otherwise though I really enjoyed this book. Solid 3.5 stars.
