Okay, I LOVED the flash mob section because it was so fucking hilarious, but something I've noticed in the past few volumes, and this volume as well, is that the story doesn't know where to go if there isn't an arc driving the story. For example, after they finished the trial, it immediately went into this weird-ass chapter about Ebisu getting kidnapped, and THEN the flash mob chapter happens, and then it's back to the original plot. Don't get me wrong, manga arcs need to have a slight cool down period before things get serious again (My Hero Academia does this PERFECTLY) but the choices made for cool down chapters are so bizarre and only serve to provide more backstory/character development for certain characters. Again, this isn't necessarily BAD, but it feels out of place and makes the series seem a bit unbalanced.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, take with it what you will. Moving on to volume 20.

With old enemies now unwilling friends and a moment of peace settled between the battle with the heavens and the conflict with the crafter still to come--vol. 19 is a time for flash mobs and doomed romance, a resting and gathering of forces as characters seek to understand certain threats and brace for the fight still to come.
