i’ve been waiting for hendrix’s love story for so long and this book did not disappoint!! my girl hen is finally feeling loved, seen, and known!!!! also thank you to hendrix and kennedy ryan for reminding me to never settle !!!

anyways on to henmav - ugh i love it when hot people date each other

even though the beginning was very insta love, it didn’t feel like it bc of the amazing connection and chemistry between hendrix and maverick. they are so sxccc!!!!! also the way maverick yearns for hendrix was soooo sxc toooo MAV THE MAN YOU AREEEEE!!!!! irl billionaires will never measure up to you - emotionally intelligent and secure man !!! like hen deserves !! i also love the way mav assures hen with not just his words but also his actions. literlly the moment maverick saw hendrix he's been so down bad for her and has devoted his life to her - as he should.

finally a fmc character and couple that don’t want kids!!! don’t get me wrong i love the whole hea with the couples that have a family with kids but it's so refreshing to see representation for those that don’t have the desire to get pregnant and have kids!!!!! book quotes incoming -

on to the alzheimers - i thought the author wrote a perfect portrayal of how alzheimer's can truly transform your loved ones into a complete stranger. such intense realistic depiction that honestly brought me war flashbacks. reading about the experience of not just taking care of a loved one with alzheimer’s but also waking up with no memory through the voice of hendrix’s mother is heartbreaking. yes I teared up

also appreciate the author for voicing the injustices towards marginalized people especially black women in her books - important conversation that needs to be talked about more

i LOVEEE the girls friendship of this series!!!! Like I sobbed for the way they are always there for each other! the true soulmates!! btw i read this during my girls atl trip and that just feels perfect

This was a great conclusion to the Skyland series. Hendrix has a lot of personal beliefs and values that I share, so I could relate to her to some extent (well... only the billionaire boyfriend part is missing, lol).

I especially loved how she took a stand for herself and how deeply she cared for her mother. The exposure on Alzheimer’s disease and how it affects not just the person suffering from it but also those around them was really well done.

It was a good read, though Before I Let Go is still miles ahead for me. That one was just on another level. But this was really chill and enjoyable too.
