TBH I wouldn’t have picked this book up if I had sampled only the begging. I had more context from a FB post and so I pulled through. I’m SO glad I did, there was a complete 180 and it was executed perfectly. This story was so engaging and detailed. A few twists and turns that kept me intrigued. I could feel the chemist between the characters. One star off for a few typos and the abruptness of Scarlett accepting Khalid’s truth. I wish there was a little more of an arc there. I’m more new to dark romance but really enjoyed this! Definitely check TWs.

My new fav author. How does this not have higher stars?! Creative POV shifts l've never seen before. Gore scenes that made my inner psycho scream. Lovable characters; I even liked the enemies! I cried and I laughed. This book has, hands down, THE most hilarious s3x scene l've ever read and I will cherish it forever.

I started with Cursed to be Mine and knew I needed more from Sau and then read Madness Behind the Mask. This book stole pieces of my soul. It was pitch black but so worth the trauma to watch Sau grow and not lose herself through the darkness. God I love that woman she is mighty and feral and majestic and everything a strong female character should be. Miranda fleshes out her characters to the point that you believe they are real people. You feel what they feel. You love with them and grieve with them and want to watch the world burn with them. Thank you for giving the world such amazing books to escape into.

I won't be reading this again or the rest of the series. Other reviews say it gets better after chapter 13 and it does but it's not enough to keep me going.

Wow this was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t put it down. I thought I had it figured out them bamm..... twist. I was definitely not expecting what happened about midway. Also, the complete blood ritual event with the brothers... idk, I kind of wish the masks weren't involved. I kind of wanted to know who had the peirceing. Maddox was the only one who was truly guessed by her. Idk, I kind of wish Maddox could stay in the picture. He seems sweet. I read a lot of RHs, so I guess I wanted more than just a taste here.

Overall, great read. And I highly recommend there are so many twists and turns make sure you buckle up for the ride.

Against my better judgement I unfortunately finished reading this book. After seeing it blown up in my Facebook groups, I caved and gave it a go. Worst mistake of my liiife. I can get on board with some kink and dark content, but between the muddled, needlessly complicated worldbuilding and the cliche, cringey dialogue, this book was not for me. It read like my junior high jerk off fantasy and had about the same level of writing.

This was a good paranormal book. There were some chapters where the plot twist had me reeling!!
