I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Very reminiscent of manacled in nearly every way. Though rose in chains had less depth to the story and characters. I still enjoyed the book a lot

The story was really intriguing and it makes me want to read the next one. However, I didn't like how every single male in the book is an absolute disgusting asshole pig. Some reveal themselves to be a bit better toward the end. But yeah, there was a lot of unchecked misogyny.

Dark, but handled exceptionally well and very gritty.

I loved the dual timelines and slowly feeding his what has happened in the past, leading to the events of now. Julie Soto has done an excellent job of converting her well known FanFic into its own entire story. To the point where I forgot completely where this storyline originated!
