C doesn't like these anymore. He liked them when he was a bit younger - I think he has just gotten a little too old for them now. (He's in kindergarten.)

The fifth installment of the Mercy Watson series finds Mercy eating the neighbor's flowers causing Eugenia to retaliate by calling Animal Control.

My almost 4 year old loves read alouds so I decided to finally try some chapter books. I saw a recommendation for this series on the Internet, and ended up with this title as it was the only one available at the library at the time. I've never read the series before, but there were no problems jumping right in. It was a slow start (for me), but then builds to a funny conclusion. The illustration are fantastic. I thought I would read a chapter a night, but my daughter sat intently through the whole thing, and is currently paging through it on her own. We will be reading more.

My first book in French. I still had to look up a lot of things (Duolingo really does not teach you animal noises, haha) but I am proud of myself.

The story was very cute; I love Kate DiCamillo.
