I want more!!!

I liked this book a lot. The character design was great!!! I wanted more to the story though and more to happen in the first book this felt like I just read a chapter. I plan to read the other volumes when they're ready!!!

The story follows our three main characters, who are students at a run-down boarding school on the moon, under the premise that after the supposed collapse of civilization on Earth, humans went to space. Now they're bored and causing normal teenage trouble - in space!

The reader is kind of just thrown right into the middle of a story will very little background - which when done well, I usually enjoy, but this one fell a little flat. Despite that though, the illustrations were a lot of fun, I'm curious to learn more about our main characters, and the cliffhanger at the end of the volume could end up being really fun!

Thanks to Oni Press and Netgalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!

I love the all-girls aspect, and the fact that everyone is coded as very much not-cishet. The background art keeps the eye interested as well, and intrigues as much as the forefront story. My only complaint is that it feels too short, and ends just as it really starts getting interesting.

I got an ARC from ALA 2022 and I can say confidently that I LOVE this book. The characters are loveable, wild, and funny. The idea of Earth becoming a wasteland was super interesting. Plus the characters trying to find their place in the world was so realistic. The end was a twist that left me wanting more. I cannot wait for the next installment!

This is the first of a series and is mostly set up with some minor character development through setting up the friend group and premise of their shared goal for the next books in the series. For that reason it was good and I absolutely loved the colorful artwork and hope to continue in this series though I hope we learn more about the characters as we go along.

It was really good. It was like a tough high school clique (like the bad girls) meets space.

I love this sci fi, girl power graphic novel. I love the illustration style and the characters as well as the world that the author created. Can't wait to read vol 2

This feels like half of what should be here. And that makes sense, it's only 96 pages. A standard comic book is 32 pages, so this looks like a 3-issue run, whereas most graphic novel collections are going to be 5-6 issues (160-192 pages). And the price is pretty steep, for just 96 pages!

This is setup. We're updated on what's happened with the world in the last hundred years: Earth is abandoned, and pretty much everyone still alive is on the moon or other off-planet colonies. There's little whispers that Earth ISN'T abandoned (and I'd bet, in any potential volume 2, we find that it's just the ultra-rich left there), but the closest we get to even CONSIDERING finding out is seeing a derelict rocket ship that MIGHT get used in a volume 2.

This just came out with too little substance to DO anything. It needs to be twice as big, and actually go somewhere. The art is fine, and the feel of the characters is okay, so I think Woodall could make something cool. But she wasn't even given a chance to get up to speed.
