I think I might like these warrior cats with their clans and odd affection for astrology.

a pretty good and reliable read: you kinda already know what to expect as the story goes on, but sometimes that's a good thing.

Rereading these for the first time in like >10 years and the first book knocks it out of the park! I totally remember why I used to play as Warrior Cats all the time when I was a kid.
The worldbuilding is so fun and inspiring, and it’s your classic “kid enters new culture and is trained to be a warrior and struggles through hardship to find community and becomes a part of something greater than himself” story, but it’s done really well.
It’s a bit brutal at times and cats kill each other left and right, but it somehow also has that childlike wonder and play that’s so inspiring.
Can’t wait to continue with the well-written first series and then revisit how things completely go off the rails after that!

I felt nostalgic and wanted to re-read some Warrior Cats books. I still love this book as much as I did when I was younger. This introduction to the world of Warriors is great. You learn to understand this world very quickly. The story is interesting and there's a lot of action. The characters are really good. I think Firepaw is a good protagonist. The Firepaw, Graypaw and Ravenpaw trio is one of the most iconic trios in literature in my opinion.

This book series is really good for preteens and younger teens (I wouldn't let anyone under the age of 10 read these because of the violence but that's up to parents). I have many fond memories with this series and I might read the rest of the books in this first arc, if I don't feel like tackling my tbr :D
