I know this is a series but I feel it really could stand alone so well. I love Lila's character a lot and I want to see more Rhy in the next book!

I really enjoyed the story and pace of the book it was definitely full of adventure. The world building and magic system was simple but unique. 

I am docking some points because I felt like I could have fallen more in love with the characters had there been more! I wanted more banter between Kell and Laila.

I will be reading the book.

Loved this! It has a really neat elemental based magic system and a solid pace. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series

I don't know if fantasy just isn't for me anymore or what happened, but I Just didn't care about this story or the characters or anything that happened. Because of this, reading this was almost painful. I did like the action in the end but for the majority of the book I was just bored. I will not be continuing on with the series, and I'm hesitant to pick up another book by Schwab. I am disappointed because I have heard great things about this author and I just don't know if her books are for me.
