Completely different from all the Agatha Christie novels I have read. I found this interesting on many levels.

Again, I can’t process this book properly and I don’t know whether to recommend it or not I think it has a hell of a lot less obvious problematic undertones, then the most recent one by Agatha Christie, that I read, because it is obvious to me that this has a lot of challenges to problematic behaviour even to some extent, the internal able ism of the main character, even though I still have many problems with the disability and chronic illness representation in this book so if that is going to trigger you as always be careful and look after yourself. I do think it’s slightly better than every other one. I’ve read though that isn’t a well-known book by her, especially even though I do think all her books are symptom of the time to some extent. There is one particular relationship here, however, where I am very apprehensive because there is such a clear seen in the book. Where  you know what might have happened to the female character in that relationship and I really don’t know how to feel about it because as I’ve said before this is written by a woman who is the best to my knowledge presented very womanly in her time, so I don’t know whether it’s commentary or internalised sexism o internalised  inferiority complex.
