A trip down memory lane. I can totally see why 12-year-old me loved this book.

I bought this as a teenager and hadn't got round to reading it that I remembered. It is not horror as I assumed but a mystery. Maybe sort of misbranded as teen horror as that was so popular in the nineties. I really enjoyed it. Not so much of that jumpy chapter endings of Point Horror, more like a Sweet Dreams with a mystery thrown in.

Stuff I loved:

* Side characters were really fun and quite well fleshed out.
* That security enforced everyone to have clear plastic handbags - where would you even buy one of those?!
* The hilarious terrible descriptions our heroine gave the police, every time.

Yes the plot was kind of obvious, but there was a lot of enjoyment to be had here. Would recommend.

A very light mystery with a few suspenseful moments and a dash of comedic romance, intended for young teenagers. It's not something I'm glad to have read, but I didn't mind reading it, either. I'd recommend only if you have nothing else to read or want something very light to cleanse the reading palate.

The book was really good with a good surprise ending, however, the ending was really rushed, it was like the author wasn't positive how they wanted it to end. It was in the middle of finding clues when suddenly all was revealed, I was about 10 pages from the end and I felt like it could go on for at least another 100.
