Have you ever grabbed a book from the bargain bin without ever hearing about it before? This was my experience grabbing The Regrets.

I feel like you could say the world works in mysterious ways, but maybe we are just attracted to similar experiences through pattern recognition. This book was very similar to novels I’ve read before. Paranormal sort of romance with some spice and characters meandering through their 20s.

This story was interesting but lacked in a lot of ways too. I wish we spent more time on what regrets were and why this one doctor could get rid of regrets. I think the story veered off as soon as the story got interesting with one character and the addition of Mark’s POV really took away from the story in my opinion.

It was a fast read and relatively interesting - not sure if I would recommend it to anyone unless you just want a decent stand-alone urban fantasy.

I am going to be so real and say that I really just don’t care about this story. I don’t have the energy to read something I’m not excited about.

I’m usually totally on board for weird books - who cares if they don’t make sense?
But this one was either too weird or not explained enough. Even in an unrealistic world, world building has to happen. There was so much more beneath the surface of this book and I wish we had gotten a look at it.
