⭐⭐⭐.5/5

  • This was definitely the better book in the Johnny/Shannon duology. Excited for the rest of the series!! Johnny is such a sweetheart, god - the man that he is !!!
  • The found family aspect is adorable - The Kavanagh family is everything 🥰 God, I wish I had parents like John & Edel...
  • Gibsie is my favourite, I'm so excited for his book!!!
  • I hate Lizzie - I get that she has some trauma that will most likely be revealed in her own book but her actions are not justified to me - I mean christ -
she pushed Gibs into water knowing that he had a fear, I feel so bad for Gibs, he has my whole heart & Lizzie has to be a bitch to him! I'm glad he calls her a viper because that's exactly what she is
  • I also feel for Joey - I can relate to him - older sibling who has to take on the responsibility of parenting a sibling as well as parenting your parents. On a personal level, I understand his actions & I sympathize with him (although I have no experience with addiction), the pressure that Joey has I understand & I hope he gets a happy ending - though I fear his book is going to destroy me... 😥

Picking up right where Binding 13 left off, this was another incredible story of strength, desperation, determination, understanding and love. There is so much pain in this story, but it’s mixed in with moments of humor, pure joy and a lot of human kindness. Johnny and Shannon’s connection leaps off of the page, there’s no way you can deny the legitimacy of their feelings, even with their ages being a factor. My heart broke for the Lynch family, especially Joey, and I am so looking forward to his story. I loved the character growth that they all experienced as individuals and as peers - except for maybe one bully who shall remain nameless. There was just so much to love about this story as a whole. As a reminder, check trigger warnings, this story is just as heavy as the first, covering difficult topics.
