I have to admit when first reading this I wasn't very optimistic. Although I do love to read and watch everything relating to supernatural stuff, I wasn't exactly wanting to read another werewolf/vampire clash, but this refreshing take on it where they actually get on quite well, even close friends and more, was brilliant!

Vicky was just brilliant in this and her scenes with Henry where amazing!

Enjoyed this second book in the series far more than the first entry. Loved the wers. I am not big on werewolves but Tayna Huff created a remarkable family of furry furies. If she had killed any of them off after I had grown to know and love them, I was going to howl in misery.

The ending was a little rushed but all around it was far more solid and fulfilling.

I'm taking a break from reading the third in the series because I need to edit many stories. Ouch, I am punishing myself. *whimper*

Huff's werewolves are quite adorable as they act like dogs rather than wolves. Possibly because she didn't know the differences in the behaviour but I quite liked it. I'm disappointed in the relationship between Vicki and Henry. There's none of that will they won't they tension that you'd expect in this genre. Still an easy. Read to pass the time.

I'm not as wild about the world building in this installment as I am in the rest of the series. After reading the first book, which manages to create a great deal of tension and interest even though we know who is behind the killings within a few pages, this one seems to dawdle along. And, in spite of this theoretically being where Henry and Vicki need to be developing their relationship, those notes are barely hit on.

Still interesting... not my fav. The first book is really good. The next three are fairly intense.

Vampire and werewolves! Oh my! Vicki is going farther away from her police training of justice. Henry didn't help much but Celluci did help more. He now knows werewolves and demons exist but he hasn't quite admitted that he Henry is a vampire.

I love my shifters. Furry hotties, what more do you need?

Good mystery, not easily figured out. No, I know where this is going, sigh.
Henry the vamp was still enjoyable, not frustratingly cheese, cliche.

Vicky had a few moments of WTF, get over yourself. But, other than them, still tough chick cool.
Mike Celluci her cop boyfriend was a crack up, he's still my favourite.

I particularly like how the furries were presented. They weren't just people who could wear fur coats on demand. Huff included traits that might be present if a socialised wolf suddenly stood up talked.
Kinda like friendly wolves who could take their fur coats off. I liked it.
