Excuse my French.

This book is fucking awesome. I've read so many mediocre books lately, I just want to throw this at all of those authors and say THIS IS HOW YOU WRITE A BOOK. This is how you write suspense so thick your readers feel nauseous. This is how you slowly, piece by piece, reveal the identity and motivation of The Big Bad at the exact perfect pacing. This is how you make your main characters fall in love.

This is how you write something worth god damn reading.

I was hooked from the very first page. It's been a long time since I read a book that made me lose track of time, but I looked up after finishing this and realized I had lost two hours somewhere in there.

The fact that this book is listed on Dean Koontz's WORST books...is insane to me. I haven't read much by him but if this is his poor work, I'm not sure I can handle the good stuff.

Il fatto che l'identità dell'assassino sia nota sin dal principio non mi ha entusiasmata, per il resto la lettura scorre veloce, salvo alcuni passaggi ripetuti un po' troppe volte.

Graham has clairvoyant powers and starts to reveal information about a psychotic rapist and serial killer-and the killer is not pleased that someone knows so much about him and might end his killing spree. So he traps Graham and Sarah in an office building in the middle of the night and so begins a game of cat and mouse in the dark...

This book was a great tension filled old fashioned thriller. Our heroes are trying to evade the lunatic as they all move around in the building, with a few near misses that set your teeth on edge! I read this many years ago and hope for the chance of a re-read sometime soon as I can't remember too much of the actual plot!

Oh, Dean Koontz, how I missed you!

This is my first Koontz book in almost a year...and it is good to wait. I was reading way too many of his things.

I liked this book. Probably most because I am reading Duma Key, by Stephen King, at the same time. They could be companion books.

Even though I figured out who the other, 'surprise' killer was...I enjoyed it. :)

Bit of a mixed bag. I'm not really a fan of the sort of obvious writing Koontz comes up with here. With that I mean the thing with the ex mountaineer who sees himself forced to face his fears. You see, he had a horrible climbing accident and, well, etc. It's.. Predictable. I prefer the cat and mouse game and the huge office building this takes place in is a wonderful hunting ground for that sort of thing. I love it when killers toy with their prey, so that worked for me as well. Another noteworthy aspect has to do with the killings beforehand. There are slight differences, which raises questions. Too bad Koontz decides to just drop (most of) the answers in the lap of the detective at some point. I also expected a little more from the drive behind the murders. Interesting angles, but underused. The hunt is fun though. Exciting enough for a quick and reasonably entertaining read.
