Sabrina Sol is a new to me author, but I couldn't wait to read Delicious Temptation because of it's sexy cover and blurb. If you have read my reviews, you will know that I am a sucker for little sister/brother's best friend stories, and I absolutely cannot turn them down. This one had a bit of a twist though being that Eric was Amara's brother's former best friend, so I was really interested to see what would happen. While I liked this book okay, it was just good not great. Unfortunately there wasn't anything new or memorable to the story, and isn't one that I will probably ever read again or even remember.

Amara is used to being the good girl that does everything that her parents and older brother Miguel tell her to. When her father hurts himself, she agrees to resign from her dream job in order to return home to help her family with their struggling bakery. Though she tries to update the bakery and bring in new customers, her family doesn't want to change anything. When her family finally agrees to remodel the bakery though, they end up hiring her brother's former best friend Eric to do the job. Eric was the bad boy that Amara always had a crush on, but he never saw her as anything but her brother's annoying little sister. Now that Amara is older and has changed, he sees her in a whole new light. But can Amara and Eric have a chance at a relationship when no one in her family approves of them being together?

Eric was a good character and I did like him. He had been the bad boy that was always getting into trouble and was only interested in casual relationships with women. Then he got his high school girlfriend pregnant , but was determined to be a good dad. When she lost the baby though, Eric spiraled out of control and turned to alcohol to help him get through life. I loved that he decided to turn his life around though, and that he was clean and sober and determined to stay that way. He was a good guy that had been through some bad times and made some bad decisions, and I hated that others judged him solely off his old behavior. I know that happens in real life, but it really sucks that some people don't see real improvement and change when it is right in front of them. I didn't like Amara as well as Eric though, and I had a tough time ever warming up to her. While she had great ideas and was passionate about her job and career, she was a bit of a doormat and came off as weak. She let her family, especially her parents, run her life and she never stood up to them. It was really annoying after awhile and I kept having to remind myself that this was supposedly a 26 year old woman. She acted much more like a high school girl seeking approval, than a grown successful woman who was good at her job. She never really seemed to take a stand either, it always came down to someone else stepping up to handle things rather than her. While I liked Amara and Eric together, they were kind of all over the place and neither one of them seemed to be able to communicate their feelings or what they wanted. They kept it to themselves and never really opened up until the very end, assuming that they knew what the other wanted or thought.

Overall, this wasn't a bad book and I Sabrina Sol's writing style was good and easy to read. But the story and Amara were what kept this one from being great to me. I found myself getting bored with the story and frustrated with Amara, and that had me wanting to skim to get to the end. I think that Sabrina Sol is a good writer though, and I will be willing to give her books another shot in the future. I think this one just wasn't what I had been hoping for. If you are looking for something light and easy, you might give this one a shot. This was a quick read and is a good book to fill the time if you are looking for something that isn't too deep or emotional.

Delicious Temptation...I totally loved the title and how it played into the whole bakery concept! As I was reading the story, I just knew for certain that the title would end up being the name of one of Amara's cupcakes. In fact, there were several descriptive terms that I thought would make good cupcake names. Ha!

Overall, I liked this contemporary story. I liked the cultural flavor that was weaved into the romance. I also liked the insane chemistry between the lead characters, as well as the internal and external struggles that each character had to deal with. I thought the author did a really good job of showing each character's doubts, insecurities, strengths, struggles and growth. I loved the direction and pacing that she moved the story forward with. It was great!

In terms of Daisy and Brandon, I want more!!! No kidding. Sign me up for that story.

This was okay for me. The writing itself wasn't bad, and flowed well for the most part. This read more as a YA novel than a contemporary romance. Amara was very much ruled by her parents, and still lived at home, despite being 26. Eric seemed like a good guy, he was trying to overcome his past. Amara wanted to keep their relationship hidden so her parents didn't find out, and Eric went along with it. For as many times as Amara said that she could make her own decisions, when it came down to making the biggest one, she tried to put it off on Eric. She told him not to put the decision on her, but wasn't that what she had been demanding from the start? It was frustrating that he was made to put himself out there time and again, when she was the one who turned him down. The ending was good, but it just felt like too little too late.
I voluntarliy reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

A quick, fun series! I read all three books in a day. I really enjoyed how the three books had the same characters popping in and out as well as the setting since I live in the LA region. For this book, I wanted to devour all of the desserts described on page. Fun use of the brothers best friend trope, meddling family, and living up/down expectations. Also, I absolutely cackled at the cover blurb of “the only thing naughtier than a bad boy is a good girl.”  3.5/5

Amara is a good daughter, when her family needed her she came home from her dream to help turn the family business around. In reality all they wanted was her to come home. They reject any ideas she has about new products. Everyone seems to think that Amara is still a little girl that needs to be seen and not heard. When Eric walks in she can't help but want to ditch the good girl routine and be the bad girl that simmers underneath the surface.

Eric is back to help take care of his abuela and to right some wrongs from his past. When he went to the Robles bakery he never thought that the gorgeous curvy girl behind the counter was his old friends sister. Now that he's had a taste of her he just can't get it out of his mind. He knows that he shouldn't do this but he can't help wanting her.

They say people can change and Eric is trying to show everyone that he has. It's hard when everywhere he goes people talk, whisper and stare. Amara is off limits, because her brother asked him to stay away from her. We all know that it doesn't happen, that wouldn't be a very good ending to a book. I really wanted both characters to 'man' up a little bit. They both had people in their lives; important people, telling them they weren't good enough to do things. Tell someone they are worthless enough and they will believe it above any praise.

This was a easy read, and fun. All of the desserts that were mentioned made me wish I had them. You'll want to read this book! Steamy and a little dirty at times, but that was a- okay by me! Leave the author love in the form of a review!

Only reason I finished this book is that I was in the middle of cleaning the house while listening. I hated all the characters, even the side characters that were supposed to be the nice ones like the sister-in-law did annoying things like share information about someone’s recovery. The parents were horrible, and the MCs made no sense. Amara was immature and annoying, and Eric’s was wishy washy with zero plans. I probably should’ve dnf’d it at the beginning when the mom said children don’t like tres leches because that’s just BS.
