Only reason I finished this book is that I was in the middle of cleaning the house while listening. I hated all the characters, even the side characters that were supposed to be the nice ones like the sister-in-law did annoying things like share information about someone’s recovery. The parents were horrible, and the MCs made no sense. Amara was immature and annoying, and Eric’s was wishy washy with zero plans. I probably should’ve dnf’d it at the beginning when the mom said children don’t like tres leches because that’s just BS.
