I found the book to be very insightful and thought-provoking, but it suffered from a lack of focus. It covered so many broad topics across a wide range of issues but didn't give each one a solid amount of information and thought. That being said, it also kept the book very engaging, so I cannot completely fault it for that. Additionally, the format was a collection of writings and or speeches by Angela Davis, so that is another contributor as to why I felt that It lacked more information on certain topics. But, in a nutshell, it was a very thought-provoking and interesting read.

DNF. let me say Angela baby this isn’t about you. love you rockstar xoxo.
the format is repetitive and as other reviewers have mentioned it doesn’t feel like a ton of effort went into compiling the book. every interview left me wanting more only for me to go to the next one and sort of hear the same thing again. i had to give up at a certain point. i intend to read a book that was Written by Angela Davis soon instead of one that is just a collection of her words.
