I am not the biggest Jem/Tessa shipper, but I adored this novella. I loved seeing Tessa and Catarina as nurses during the war and I was just so engaged with this story. I don’t really have much to say, I just really loved it.

It’s always good to see Jem and Tessa together as they work to survive a London bombing and an attack with a lethal poison. They have so much love for each other and resilience, even after the loss of Will.

It was so hard not to cry through a lot of this book. Also, in present time Jem is mortal again.. So seeing so much of the pain Will's death caused Tessa made my heart break for her eventual loss of Jem now too 😭😭
