It was so hard not to cry through a lot of this book. Also, in present time Jem is mortal again.. So seeing so much of the pain Will's death caused Tessa made my heart break for her eventual loss of Jem now too 😭😭

My Tessa,
There will be no separation between us. Where you are, I am. Where we are, Will is. Whatever else I may be, I remain always.
Your Jem

I had to gather all courage to read this novella. I am not as much of a fan of Jessa like I am of Wessa because bish, I am loyal to my otp! Don't get me wrong though. I love Will, Tessa and Jem. They complete such a beautiful puzzle. Their love is great. Awesome threesome. Although, I love Will a 100x more than the two and that is saying much.
The blurb says that this was 3 years after Will died, and I'm like—nope. That is just rude. YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME CASSIE! I REFUSE TO READ THIS NOVELLA! But here I am now.
I like the story fine and glad to know a little bit more about the lost Herondales. Though I am so pissed at Tessa! HOW DARE HER? Luckiest girl in the fictional world. She got Will. She got Jem. Damn girl, you win! Okay, I'm not pissed. I was jealous 😝
I can't also help but sob a little everytime Will is mentioned on the novella. Will this ever stop hurting? 😭💔

This novella will surely make Jessa fans happy. It was quite a glimpse of Jem and Tessa and them rekindling their love (just a li'l). 💗

“You are Jem—my Jem. Always my Jem.”
“I am Brother Zachariah”, Jem returned.
“So be it!” said Tessa. “You are Brother Zachariah, and my Jem. You are a Silent Brother. That does not mean you are not dear to me as you always were, and you always will be. Do you think anything could separate us? Are either of us so weak as that? After all we have seen and all we have done? I spend every day grateful that you exist and are in the world. And as long as you live, we keep Will alive.”

“Tessa, he said. Even when I cannot see, you are so beautiful.”

I think Cassie knows that we will never be over the love story of Jem, Will and Tessa.
It is so beautiful yet heartbreaking. How can we even live through that.
I love reading about their love story and this one we focus on the grief of Will that Jem and Tessa has to go through both individually and together.

We also get more information and storyline of the Lost Herondale and how this all will lead us to Kit Herondale whom we already know and also a mystery of his story.
