I had loads of questions left unanswered about the Long Island Serial Killings after watching a recent documentary. Naturally this book is much more in depth and offered yet another frank and fascinating look at the cases. Recommend!!

My heart aches and is heavy with sadness. I think this was such a great way to not only tell the story of what happened to these girls, but also tell us who they actually were. It's easy to read a headline or watch a news segment and just take the story at face value, but this book brings so much to the forefront and really allows the reader to feel what it was like being any of the girls. Melissa, Megan, Maureen, Amber, Shannen, and the many other victims found are not just stats or bodies to be forgotten. It's so important to remember that they were real people and their lives deserve recognition.

This book does a very good job of evoking empathy for the victims and their respected families, what the book doesn’t do is talk about the case and police investigation. Those are factoids glazed over in this narrative. I definitely had high hopes for this read, so needless to say it was a little disappointing and lacking case information which made the narratives of each girl somewhat hard to follow.
